The 黑料正能量 Career Services staff serves as the central Career Services resource, providing services and support to all 黑料正能量 students and alumni.
Our office aims to meet our students where they are on their career journey. Our goal is to provide education, preparation, and opportunities for meaningful connections for our students and help guide them to pursue meaningful careers with confidence.
Alexander Corsillo
Director of Career Services
Alexander Corsillo (Alex) is the new Director of Career Services at Saint Elizabeth University having joined the university in February of 2026. Before joining 黑料正能量, he worked in Career Services at Ramapo College of New Jersey, William Paterson University, and Felician University. Alex holds a Master鈥檚 degree in Higher Education Administration from William Paterson University and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Communication from Kean University.
With over seven years of experience in higher education career development, Alex focuses on creating practical, innovative career readiness programs and building strong partnerships that connect students and alumni to meaningful opportunities. He is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, explore their options, and feel confident taking the next steps toward their goals.
Alex is excited to continue expanding opportunities for the 黑料正能量 community and supporting students as they prepare for life after graduation.

Gayla Zieser
Student Success Coordinator
Gayla Zieser serves as the Student Success Coordinator at 黑料正能量. Before joining the Student Success Center, Gayla worked in University Advancement at 黑料正能量, where she coordinated and supported several of the University鈥檚 signature events, including the Presidential Gala, Scholarship Luncheon, Alumni Weekend, and other alumni and donor events.
Her experience in University Advancement gave Gayla the opportunity to work with many different areas across campus while doing what she does best鈥攂ringing people together, building relationships, staying organized, and making sure all the moving pieces come together. From coordinating vendors and event logistics to creating welcoming and memorable experiences, Gayla brings energy, creativity, and a very people-first approach to her work.
Gayla鈥檚 philosophy is simple: students are more likely to ask for help when they feel comfortable walking through the door. She believes the Student Success Center should feel welcoming, approachable, and personal鈥攁 place where students know there is someone ready to listen, help them find what they need, and point them in the right direction.
Now in Student Success, Gayla is excited to bring that same energy and relationship-building directly to 黑料正能量 students. Whether it is answering a quick question, connecting a student with the right resource, helping with an event or program, or simply being a familiar face on campus, she believes the little things can make a big difference in a student鈥檚 college experience.
Her goal is simple: make students feel welcome, help them find what they need, and hopefully make their day a little easier along the way.
Christopher Defendre
Graduate Assistant - Employer Relations & Outreach
Chris Defendre is the Graduate Assistant for Employer Relations & Outreach at Saint Elizabeth University. He graduated from 黑料正能量 in May 2026 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Sports Marketing & Management, with a minor in Psychology, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. He is currently pursuing his M.S. in Management with a specialization in Human Resources Management at 黑料正能量.
During his undergraduate years, Chris was actively involved throughout the 黑料正能量 community. He was a member of the Men鈥檚 Basketball Team for all four years and also served as a Resident Assistant, Athletic Department Intern, and student worker with Conference & Event Services. Through these experiences, he gained experience working with students, staff, and members of the university community in a variety of roles.
In his role with Career Services, Chris supports employer outreach and relationship-building efforts while helping connect 黑料正能量 students with career opportunities. He is interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources and looks forward to continuing to build his professional experience while supporting the 黑料正能量 community.
