Program Application Timeline

  • To be eligible to apply, students must complete all prerequisite courses (including ACEND DPD Verification*) before June 30, 2027.
  • Applications for entry in Fall 2027 will open on September 1, 2026.
  • First round applications are due by January 8, 2027
  • Application review and interviews for qualified applicants during January 15 to February 27, 2027.
  • Students will be notified of acceptance before or by March 1.
  • Students are required to confirm acceptance before or by March 15.

*Includes the Declaration of Intent to Complete Degree

Applications submitted after March 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis if space is available in the program.  Please contact the Program Director, Dr. Anne Buison, at apellizzon@steu.edu if this applies to you.  The application period for the Fall ends on June 30, 2027.

Once accepted into the program after DICAS selection and interview, students will apply through the 黑料正能量 Graduate Program application. Application materials will be moved from DICAS to 黑料正能量鈥檚 application. Upon notification of acceptance, students are required to pay a program seat deposit of $500, which will be credited toward the student鈥檚 first semester tuition bill.

Applicants for the Graduate Program in Entrepreneurial Nutrition Practice must be willing to relocate for in-person experiential learning by late June (semester 3) - through May (semester 5). We carefully assign students to experiential learning sites based on previous experience and site requirements to help ensure our students have the best experiences and outcomes. Up to 20 students will be accepted for the program. 

Admission Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or is in the senior year of undergraduate study.
  • Resume or CV
  • Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) verification statement or transcripts demonstrating completion of all prerequisites
  • Two letters of recommendation from professors or academic advisors
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
  • Personal statement (up to 750 words) with short and long-term career goals

Following review of the complete application, candidates for admission will be scheduled for an interview with our selection committee for a virtual interview.

Prerequisites

  • Food Preparation or Experimental Food/Recipe Modification
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • General Chemistry (with lab)
  • Introduction to Human Nutrition
  • Organic Chemistry (with lab)
  • Human Nutrition or Metabolism (Micronutrient/Macronutrient Metabolism) 
  • Medical Nutrition Therapy or Nutrition and Disease

*Recency of education: Basic science prerequisites should be taken within the past 10 years and nutrition and dietetics-specific courses within the past five years.

Applicants also must have successful completion of both the ServSafe Manager Certification and ServSafe Allergen Certificate.

Information for International Applicants

International applicants must obtain an official evaluation of their credentials unless applicants have a degree or sufficient coursework from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. They must also submit an official copy of a transcript evaluation by a recognized transcript evaluation agency, preferably from World Education Services (WES), in addition to the previously stated admission requirements.

Transfer Credit/Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)

At this time, students cannot transfer any credits toward the Graduate Program in Entrepreneurial Nutrition Practice. The program also does not accept credit for prior learning or experience.
